Read Me First
Back to the Library
Ok, here is the instruction on how to use this library. First, be quiet... it is a library.
Each ceremony has four different ways you can look at it, a web page, a downloadable .wps
file, a downloadable .doc file, and a downloadable .txt file.
The webpage - each different ceremony, form, whatever, has a web page you can look at. It has
the ceremony on it, music and all the neat stuff you come to expect from the webmaster. Just
Click on the name of the item you wnat to look at, and low and behold! you can now see the
ceremony, form, whatever.
Downloadable .wps file. - This is a downloadable file you can save to you compute for later use.
A wps file is a file for use within Microsoft Works 4.0 or higher. If you do not have Works 4.0
or higher, you cannot use this type of file. This is what these were done in and how I meant them
to be viewed, if you can, use this option. But if you do not have Works 4.0 then use....
Downloadable .doc file - Another downloadable file you can save to your computer for later use.
A .doc file is for use with Microsoft Word Pad. If you have Windows 95 or 98, chances are you
have Word Pad. These files are not quite as good as the .wps file, but still fairly decent.
Remeber, you must have Word Pad to use a .doc file, but if you do not have either Works or word pad...
Downloadable .txt file - This is the simplest of all word proscessing files. Everything can use
a .txt file. The problem is, there are no options like different colors and types sizes for a
.txt file, but if you cannot use one of the others, you should be able to use a txt file.
A note on copyrights and other things
Most of the information here is property of DeMolay International. I will be the first to admit
I know barely anything about copyright law, so I am posting this. If ANYONE has a problem with
any of the information provided here, then I will promptly take it down with very little question
Also, some of the Material in here was written by members of McRae Chapter, Order of DeMolay.
It took us a long time to write this stuff, and I personally do not care if anyone takes it for
their personal use, as long as the do not present it as their own original work, and give the
author credit. Everything in these pages written by McRae is clearly marked. With that aside,
If this stuff helps just one person, then the countless hours I spent typing was well worth it.
