History Behind McRae Chapter.

First chartered in 1921, the Rolla Chapter had a reputation for it's sports performance. In 1965, the Chapter reopened after a brief close and was renamed the McRae chapter after Arthur McRae a well known Master Mason from the Rolla Lodge and served as Master in 1926. He so inspired the young men of the early chapter by working with them and teaching them ritual, that shortly after his death, a DeMolay that was under him took over the Chapter and named it in his honor. Mcrae chapter has been known for it's excelence in basketball and continues to do so. The McRae Chapter stayed active and open up until 1993 when it went dark due to membership problems. In 1998, the Mcrae Chapter was reactivated in full force and continues to be active. McRae is so active that it is the 2nd most active chapter in Mo DeMolay.
