Welcome to Daddy's corner.  Maybe you've noticed that both  mine and Nella's corner show a photo of ourself with Danielle.  It was like a compromise that both of us pick the cutest picture that we have with Danielle.  Oops, I know just what you think.  Danielle is cute and not me.   Well, at least she's cute and everybody says she looks just like me and so I should be cute also :-) Enough already.  Let us go to a more serious stuff about myself.  The following is a little something about my personal and professional background.

I am a graduate of B.S. Computer Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) - Intramuros, Manila, Philippines.  After graduation in November 1995, I joined Andersen Consulting - Manila Solution Center (now known as Accenture ). After 4 fulfilling years in AC, I left the firm in January 2000 to join Walgreens Healthcare Intiatives in Phoenix, AZ.  Check-out my resume for more details.

I was born and raised in Albay, Philippines. I attended both primary and secondary schools there.  Albay province is located in the southern part of Luzon island, the biggest island in the Philippines.  (The country has 7,101 islands!)  Albay is home to the world's most perfect cone-shaped volcano, Mount Mayon which also happens to be an active volcano.  Click here

Aside from English and Filipino, I also speak the Bicol dialect which is the main dialect of Albay province.  Interestingly enough, there are hundreds of dialects spoken in the Philippines.  From Manila for example, you can drive to a province 2 hours away and feel like you're in a foreign country because you will not be able to understand that province's dialect.  My wife doesn't understand the Bicol dialect but she understands another dialect (Ilocano) herself.

At home,  I like to cook, do stuff over the computer and play Daddy to Danielle.   The last one is something new to me but it's the one which gives me most joy.

I hope you are enjoying your visit so far.    If you have any suggestions on how we can improve this site, do email us.
