Rick’s Restaurant Review

ANGEL’S RESTAURANT

4225 Hwy 68

Golden Valley, AZ

After an arduous 7-½ mile ride in the blazing Kingman sun, we ended up at Angel’s Restaurant in Golden Valley. The first thing you realize as you enter is that this is a no-nonsense eating establishment – nothing fancy, just good food. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in an efficient and friendly manner. There’s even a TV with sports on for those who are interested.

Lunch is generally in the 3 – 5 dollar range and there is quite a selection. I ordered the chili size (no surprise, huh?), Ginny and Gene had the rib special and Wally and Mary had peach cobbler. We had it on good authority that the rib special was delicious and that turned out to be true. The chili size was good as well. The peach cobbler was a little dry, but that was the chef’s first attempt at it and we know it will get better.

This restaurant was crowded and there were two reasons for that; the food was great and the service was excellent. Even though things seemed to be getting quite hectic, our waitress was friendly and attentive.

On the old Route 66 Riders tach, I’ll rev this one up to 4-½ grand. Redline as always is 5.
