Rick’s Restaurant Review

Bike Night at
Chuy’s Mesquite Broiler
Across from The Cracker Barrel
On Stockton Hill Rd.
In Kingman, AZ
If it’s
Wednesday night you’ll find me at Chuy’s Mesquite Broiler on Stockton Hill Road
in Kingman. There are two reasons for this: First Wednesday night is Bike Night
sponsored by Kelly and Debbie of Performance Specialists out by the Airport. Secondly
American Idol is on. My wife loves that show and I don’t. This gets me out of
the house (and out of her hair) for the evening.
Chuy’s
has a Happy Hour menu with some very good dinner specials. My favorite is the
two chicken enchiladas for $2.49. Add a coke and you’ve got dinner for less
than five bucks. Well, you better tip them something. Chips and salsa are free.
Bike
Night is a great time for the local motorcycle community to get together trade
stories and experiences. Some cliques have been forming. Veteran bikers at one
table, guys flyin’ colors at another, The Mild Ones, a scooter club sits way in
the back (just kidding). Actually even though these groups form, anybody is
welcome to sit and talk with just about anybody else.
The last
Wednesday night of each month is Trophy Night and Kelly judges the bikes in the
parking lot and hands out trophies accordingly. There is also a 50/50 drawing
every Wednesday night and the proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Club of
Kingman.
Bike
Night at Chuy’s is an event that is not to be missed (unless, of course, you’re
a fan of American Idol). I’ll rev this one up to 9 ½ on the old Route 66 Rider’s
Tach and recommend that you come by next Wednesday around 6:00 PM.
