RICK'S RESTAURANT REVIEW

                      THE BLACK BEAR DINER

                             1751 Hwy 95

                     Bullhead City, AZ 86442

Occasionally our trips to Bullhead City include a lunch at the Black Bear Diner. That's where we went on Sunday, December 21. we got there about 1:00 and they seated us right away even though there appeared to be others waiting for tables.

The decor is Northwest Rustic with pictures of bears all over. There are quite a few polar bears for a place called the "Black Bear". Lunches range from $5.00-7.00 and with your burger you get your choice of fries, coleslaw or potato salad. It's always good to have a choice.

The service was pretty good as there was a waiter right there to take our drink orders. Not long after the iced tea showed up (oops, Pepsi, no Coke, no Pepsi, no Coke for Jim.) Nicole, our waitress was there to take our orders. We ordered everything from fish to chicken to burgers to chili size - guess who had that. By 1:30 we were chowin' down. The food was tasty and well prepared. I thought they were a little stingy with the chili on my chili size. I think I'll order a regular burger next time as those looked pretty big. To be fair, they did put two patties on the chili size.

All in all, I'll recommend this place and rev it up to 4 grand on the old Route 66 Riders tach...well, they WERE stingy with the chili.
