RICK'S RESTAURANT REVIEW

                                  CASA SERRANO

                                 5230 S. Highway 95

                                Mohave Valley, AZ

We all met at the Powerhouse for our Sunday afternoon ride and decided to go to Casa Serrano in Mohave Valley. We went by way of Topock and Golden Shores so it made for a long pleasant ride.

Casa Serrano is a large modern Mexican Restaurant owned by the same family that owns El Palacio here in Kingman. Seating was no problem as they put together about 4 tables for us. Service was great if you did one of two things: 1. Order the buffet and serve yourself (At $6.99 it's a pretty good deal), or 2. Bat your eyelashes at Ricardo, our waiter, as Marcia evidently did. The lad was quite taken with her and we had a good laugh as we watched the sparks fly. Of course to some of us, there's nothing prettier than a black leather clad biker babe. But that's a story for another publication. Seriously though the service was good except they ran out of enchiladas at the buffet.

The food is excellent and there is a wide selection to choose from. Lunch Special prices run from $4.50 to $6.00. Dinners are 2 to 3 dollars more.

Casa Serrano is definitely worth the trip and I highly recommend it if you like good Mexican food. I'll rev this one up to 4 1/2 grand on the old Route 66 Riders Tach. We just have to remember to bring Marcia in order to get really good service.
