RICK'S RESTAURANT REVIEW

                            FOOD COURT

                       LAUGHLIN OUTLET MALL

On Sunday, April 18, we decided to see how the preparations for the

upcoming festivities in Laughlin were coming along so we rode over there.

It was a pleasant ride on a warm Spring afternoon and it took about

an hour. There were no crowds as yet, but lo and behold the tents were

going up and merchandise was for sale.

But, first things first. We were hungry (Ride to Eat, Eat to Ride)

so we went into the Outlet Mall to see what we could get in the

Food Court. I love these places. The divisions usually run ethnic

and this was no exception. You could get Mexican, Chinese, Pizza,

McDonalds, Quiznos, Dairy Queen or Orange Julius. Well, maybe not

that many ethnic places but there was a large enough selection

to exercise our indecisiveness. I ended up with a Quiznos Sub and

most everybody else had Chinese. Quiznos was a little pricey, $8.00

for a regular size sandwich and a Coke. It tasted good, however and

I heard no complaints about the moo-goo-gai-pan.

After we ate, we went across the street to see what was going on. The

vendors were just setting up and some of us purchased tee shirts and

other trinkets. We did meet a couple on a very interesting looking

purple Gold Wing. Yes it was a stock color and yes they were still

breaking it in. So far they were very happy with it.

The ride home was pleasant but uneventful, and we all awaited the next

weekend for the River Run.

The Food Court is adequate for what it purports to be - a large

selection of fast food in a retail environment with a big eating area.

I'll rev it up to three and a half on the old Route 66 Riders Tach.
