Rick’s Restaurant Review

Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

6226 E. Highway 69

Prescott Valley, AZ

Just up the street from the Victory dealer in Prescott Valley is a pleasant little establishment called Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina. It’s one of those small Mom & Pop places that often turn out to be better than the big franchise chains. That is the case here.

Francisco’s is not only a Mexican Restaurant; it is also a NASCAR oriented sports bar. The contrast in decorations is interesting to say the least. It looks bigger inside because of the mirror along the west wall. It is, however spacious enough.

They serve lunch and dinner. Appetizers range from $4.95 for a quesadilla to $9.50 for scampi. Lunches will cost you five to ten dollars. I had the Northpine Burrito (a tortilla filled with beans and your choice of meat, served enchilada style topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese & onion.) It was $6.95, large and delectable.

The service was good, the atmosphere was unique and the food was great. This would make a good stop on a First Saturday Ride. I’ll rev this one up to 9 grand on the old Route 66 Riders Tach.  Redline is 10.
