Rick’s Restaurant Review

Mi Sarita
Homestyle Mexican Food
3051 Armour Ave.
Kingman, AZ 86409
Mi Sarita is a quaint little Mexican Restaurant
on Armour Ave. just off Andy Devine. As you enter, you notice the white walls,
arches and pictures of old barns. The effect is somewhat homey. Unfortunately
the parking lot is out of view from the restaurant so you can’t keep an eye on
your bike.
After you order at the counter you can sit
where you like and the waitress brings your drinks and chips and salsa if you
ordered them. Chips and salsa are included only with the combination plates. I
had a burrito so I had to order them separately. It was a combo burrito so
maybe I should have argued the point. Also, they don’t refill soft drinks, just
iced tea.
Service was good, my combo burrito arrived
within 5 minutes and it was quite tasty. It had beans, beef and cheese stuffed
in it and it was sizable. The chips were the thick kind and they brought two
squeeze bottles of salsa. The red stuff was mild, but the green was made of
jalapenos and had something of a bite to it. The beans in the burrito were very
good. They must be the same beans they serve on the side.
Their prices are fairly reasonable. I got
out of there for about ten bucks. A taco is $1.95, a
burrito is anywhere from$3.50 to $4.75 depending on what you get in it.
Combination plates are $7.50 to $8.85, but don’t forget, the chips and salsa
are included. You can even get a dozen tamales for $18.75. Now let’s see…that’s
$1.56 each. It pays to buy in quantity.
Mi Sarita is a nice little place for lunch
or dinner and I’ll rev this one up to 8 ½ grand on the old Route 66 Riders’ Tach. As always, redline is 10.
