The Nashville Grill

YEEEEE HAAAAAH!!! It’s finally open. Kingman has its own Grill and Honky Tonk. We decided to give it a try on Saturday, June 4. Things got off to a very inauspicious start when a bouncer type fellow accosted me in the parking lot and told me that I couldn’t bring my knife in with me. I thought, “OK that’s their policy, I’ll leave it in the truck. No problem.” After we were seated, which was pretty quick by the way, the same bouncer type guy came over and told that I couldn’t wear my colors in there. Alright, I thought, I’ll just tuck them in behind Josephine and I’ll eat in my tank top.  After that whenever I saw the bouncer guy I wondered what else I would have to remove in order to eat there. Fortunately I didn’t have to take off anything else.

The interior has a central dance floor and several televisions strategically placed. Naturally Country music fills the air. It’s a little dark so bring your reading glasses in order to see the menu.

The food is excellent. I had the ribs and found them to be well cooked and delicious. Portions are pretty generous as well. All the dishes have Country & Western names. My favorite was the Boot Scoot Burger. I don’t know how it tastes, but it sounds neat. Prices range from $6.00 to $8.00 for lunch and $10.00 to $18.00 for dinner. The food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. I’ll recommend the Nashville Grill for an interesting night out on the town. Just don’t wear your colors. This one gets revved up to 4 grand on the old Route 66 Riders Tach.
