Today I had lunch at Rock’s Place in
If they’re not busy, you can sit where you want and the service is commendable. Our waitress, Michelle, was friendly and attentive. Our drinks came pretty quickly and the food wasn’t far behind. My chili size was tasty and well prepared. Onions and cheese were available and I opted for them. I was also presented with a beans-or-no-beans choice. Out of consideration for my friends and associates, I decided against the beans.
Lunch specialties run anywhere from $2.99 for a bowl of chili to $7.49 for fish & chips. Grinders are in the 5-8 dollar range, burgers go for $5.50 to $7.00 and an 18 inch pizza will run you around $22.00.
I couldn’t help but notice that local law enforcement seems to like this place. And I hear that they have a Bike Night every Wednesday. That seems worth checking out.
All in all, I found Rock’s Place to be a pleasant dining experience and I’ll rev it up to 8 ½ grand on the old Route 66 Riders’ Tach.
