Route 66 Riders
Sunday Ride
Restaurant Review

On Sunday, March 30, 2003 we decided to try out the new and
improved Shep's Restaurant "Yesterdays" in
Chloride, AZ. After a pleasant but uneventful ride we rolled into Chloride
around 1:00 pm.
Upon entering, one is greeted by a spacious interior that is
neat and clean. The murals on the wall are interesting and amusing. The Old
West décor is apropos.
Most of us ordered the chili size and it tasted good. The
portions could have been bigger though. Their famous hamburgers now come in
multiple sizes - 1/4 lb, 1/2 lb, 3/4 lb, 1 lb and for those carnivores who don't care about cholesterol, a 2 lb burger. Prices are
in the $3-5.00 range (the 2 lb burger is $8.00).
Service was fair in that our food could have come sooner,
but the waitress kept us in iced tea and coffee so the wait was bearable.
On the old Route 66 Riders Tach, I'd rev this one up to 3
1/2 grand Redline is 5.
