Welcome!!  Mrs. Carole Mashburn has been teaching at St. Elmo since the gifted program opened here in August 1990.  She began teaching fifth and sixth graders but has also taught all grades except third!  Before coming to St. Elmo, Mrs. Mashburn taught at Kendrick High School from 1982-1990.      Mrs. Mashburn graduated from Carroll High School in Ozark, Alabama.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her Masters from Troy State University, Troy, Alabama.  Mrs. Mashburn received her gifted certification from Columbus College.  Currently, she is working on a TSS (Teacher Support Specialist) certificate and will complete her internship in the fall.      Mrs. Mashburn is married to Chuck Leonard, a news anchor at WTVM-TV.  They have two children, Ann Elizabeth, 16 years old and Michael, 14 years old.
