Anne Hutchinson was born and raised in Alford, Lincolnshire, England. She was born in July 1591. She is the daughter of  Bridget Dryden and Francis Marbury. Anne's maiden name was Anne Marbury.
Anne had her father's strong beliefs and academic compentence, it is no suprise that Anne developed an intrest in religeon and theology at every young age. She was home- schooled for her entire life. She read many books from her father's library, and found out that there were many more questions about faith. She had grown to admire her father's ideas. Anne wasn't afraid to ask questions about faith at church. She had more education than most kids her age.
At the age of 21, Anne married William Hutchinson.  They settled in Alford, where she took role as a housewife and a mother of 15 chldren.  While retaining an interest in theology in Church, she and her family followed the sermans of John Cotton (a Protestant minister) whose teachings echoed those of her father.  Now they were following the increasingly popular banner of Purtanism.
Anne went to the most Puritan churches in Alfred.  She wanted to become a minister like her father.  She wanted to be the best woman minister that England ever had.  She thought she could be as good as John Cotton.
In 1634 when John Cotton was relocated to the Puritans of New England, Will and Anne along with their 15 children went sailing to America with John Lothrop.  Ten years later she died.
