Leonard N. Bishop, who was one of my Great, Great, Great Uncles, served in the Civil War. He was put in Company D of Virginia. He was a private. He was born in St.Johnbory Virginia. Another one of my Great, Great, Great Uncles was Harley Bishop. He was put in Company F of Virginia. He was also a private. He was born in Castleton Virginia. My Great, Great, Great Grandfather William H. Bishop was put in as a Corporal. I am his direct dissendent. The three men above were all brothers.They were also very good horseman. They fought in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Georgia and all returned home safely. They were all part of the 15th Infantry Division. My Great Grandfather Miron S. Bishop fought in The Spanish American War with Teddy Roosevelt. Miron Bishop married Marion Bishop. Someone else, I'm not sure of their name, married Miron's daughter. Miron's granddaughter married Patrick Chasse'. They had a son named Raoul Chasse'. I am Raoul's daughter, Donelle Chasse' who told you this story! |
