Somewhere out on MS 548 we lost it. It being 548. Let me again try to explain MS roads. They are unpredictable. Totally. You'll be doing 80 down a smooth well lined and signed highway and suddenly it goes schitzo and changes into a dirt road. 548 wasn't so violent, simply changing identity, thus assigning it to the muti-personality ward. We stared into our GPS's and then resorted to a map which didn't even have the road marked on it. We couldn't firgure it out. We stopped at a probable site, the church below, wandering the plots for a while determiining that these guys were too young. |
Giving up, we headed into Hermanville. Actually, Ray headed into Hemanville, I stopped and shot the Hemanville Methodist Church thinking that Ray would be watching his mirror occationally. No, I think Ray was panicking because the The Plan was melting down. I found him inside the only little store in Hemanville where the patrons were comparing notes on the whereabouts of our lost cemetery. Actually, it wasn't lost. We proceeded to their agreed conclusion and it wasn't it due to the residence being also too young. |
I was losing faith and decided to go back to my roots and shoot a store. |
Ray again stared into the GPS, pressing buttons violently and came up with the solution. We were 7 miles from where we should be, very close to where we were when we were lost. We went directly there since we'd been there before. We even found the two guys there that were suppose to be there. All in the presence of a howling hound dog and an escort dog looking very much like a Catahoula, a breed I knew to be friendly, I hoped. |
