I rode north fast, running out of time. There are more roads dropping off of La.107 that I want to explore. Later. La.107, itself, has little to offer and gets to be busy as it approaches Alexandria. There is an option to go north before Alex that'll take you  to  La.28 and then US 84 where you can go east and visit Ferriday. Then head south on La.15 and and and and and. Today I chose to just hit I-49 and run home. I couldn't stand it. I got off at the St.Landry,La.106 exit and got onto 182/29. Now 29 starts in Bunkie. Get off of I-49 and use it. It is brand new blacktop that shows the countryside and Bayou Boeuf with no semis. Heck, no traffic. It runs right with I-49 and you can make better time. Get my drift? It even has a curve or two plus the Whiteville Dam, being a part of the Boeuf Valley Athority (BVA).
I've seen this old house off the road but never stopped I think the hurricane put the hurt on it hard. Barry remarked he's been in places where that was considered a pretty good house. I know.
The picture of the house was sad, but there's humor everywhere. The tire/flower bed border was placed years ago around the young tree and painted white, no doubt over and over, is classic. We paint tree trunks also. Though that's a dying art. That's why I take pictures. One day they'll be worth something and I can open a site store instead of just talking about it.
See ya later. "down the road, around the bend".
