What is Mayhem Championship Wrestling?

Mayhem Championship Wrestling, or MCW for short, is a match submission e-federation styled after and run like such modern wrestling organizations like the WWE and NWA TNA.

We are a fun, friendly and competitive e-federation that embodies the be all and end all of the world of professional wrestling. We here at MCW strongly encourage you to take full creative control of your wrestler and determine how he/she develops, weather he/she is a baby-face or a cowardly heel, what Championship(s) he/she goes after, etc.
YOU are in control of your wrestler and his/her growth, YOU are in control of your match results and YOU are in control of how he/she thinks and what he/she says when posting role plays on the forums.

We just ask that if you do sign up to join the MCW that you apply with
ORIGINAL WRESTLER'S ONLY! We only allow one original wrestler per person as well, because more than one can be hectic for both you the handler to keep up with as well as us, the MCW Staff.

What is a Match Submission e-federation?

>> All match submissions are to be e-mailed to the__mcw@hotmail.com. (Yes, that is a double underscore) <<

A Match Submission e-federation is an e-federation where instead of posting a pre-determined amount of role plays and then waiting to see what the Match Writing Staff have wrote up for your wrestler that week, we give
YOU the power to be in charge of those very results! All wrestlers submit a written match where you and your opponent(s) wrestle one another until one of them eventually wins the match. YOU even have the power to determine who walks away with the victory and who is left in the ring in defeat. You get to add the entrances, the commentators and what they decide to say during your match, the ring announcer and how he announces you, etc. Then, after the match submission deadline is up, the MCW Staff will begin judging both matches (More depending on the number of participants) using our Judging Guidelines and the match that scores the highest will then be posted on the results page and that will be the "real" outcome of that match.

It is very important that we receive a match submission from you before the match submission deadline is up because if we do not, you will receive an automatic loss. Should this continue to become a habit, the MCW Staff will then release you from the roster should we have not heard from you or have been given a good enough reason for the lack of submissions. Also, you only need to submit a match if you are actually scheduled to wrestle that week.

ALL MCW matches are judge by the following guidelines. We are unbiased with judging and follow the same guidelines for everyone. If you have discrepancies, feel free to contact the MCW Staff and we will gladly work them out with you.

Event Attacks (Interferences and Counter-Interferences)

What would wrestling be without being able to interfere in someone's match? What would wrestling be without being able to protect yourself or have someone have your back and counter that interference? This is where our Event Attacks come into play to give you even more power to get yourself noticed, form alliances, save a partner, turn against someone, etc.

To Interfere: In order to interfere in a match, you must first pick your target and then write up a paragraph that explains what it is you wish to do. Writing an interference is much like writing an entire match, except the interference is substantially shorter than the match and you can pick any moment to come out and attack. Examples include: leaping over the barricade and sliding into the ring, pulling the Referee out of the ring and then jumping your target, attacking your target before he/she even makes it to the ring, etc.

To Counter-Interfere: It would be unfair if we just had people attacking one another with no form of being able to protect yourself so that is where the counter-interference comes into play. To counter-interfere, you must first guess who it is you think is going to attack you and then write up a paragraph that explains how you stop the attack. If you correctly guess who is attack you, your counter goes through and the other wrestler is stopped. However, if you incorrectly guessed, the attack goes through normally.

Every wrestler on the roster is allowed one Interference and one Counter-Interference per event. However, anyone who is a Champion is granted two Interference and two Counter-Interferences. As well, the MCW World Champion is allowed to combine both of his/her Counter-Interferences in order to block an entire stable!

Note: All Interferences/Counter-Interferences are to be no longer than a half page in Times New Roman with a 12 pt. font.

MCW Championships

All of the MCW Championships must be defended at all milestone Pay-Per-Views and failure to do so will result in the forfeit of the championship. The MCW Staff retains the right to decide what will happen to the forfeited Championship. Wrestlers are under contractual obligation to defend their Championships at every milestone Pay-Per-View as well as the occasional Tuesday Night turmoil and monthly Pay-Per-View. If a Championship changes hands, a rematch will take place at the earliest convenience for both members. Take note that this doesn't always apply though. If you win and lose a Championship within one defense, you do not receive a rematch (unless it is part of a storyline.)

Tuesday Night Turmoil and Pay-Per-Views

The MCW will host a regular card every Tuesday, named Tuesday Night Turmoil, as well as a Pay-Per-View on the last Tuesday of every month. All results for any show will be posted on the following Tuesday after the original card has been announced around the evening time. (Just as if it were a live broadcast of the show!) The new card will also be posted at the same time, be it a Tuesday Night Turmoil or a Pay-Per-View event.

Tuesday Night Turmoil is our flagship show, is jammed packed with action and takes place on every Tuesday of the month (With the exception of the last Tuesday which is when we hold our Pay-Per-Views!) The goal of Tuesday Night Turmoil is to use this show to create storylines and feuds that will come to a head at the month end Pay-Per-Views. We will also occasionally have Championship matches, special matches and special events take place on Tuesday Night Turmoil.

Our Pay-Per-Views will take place on the last Tuesday of every month. There is a different Pay-Per-View each month from January's
SNOWBLIND Pay-Per-View to December's GREED Pay-Per-View. Each Pay-Per-View is a special event in its own right but there are three Pay-Per-Views that are even higher caliber than the other nine!

March's
SCOURGE Pay-Per-View: This is our Royal Rumble styled event. After all of the normal matches that are scheduled for that evening have taken place, we have our "Scourge Scramble" match. The rules are simple: in order to eliminate a wrestler from the match, you have to send them over the top rope to the floor where both of their feet have to touch in order to count as an elimination. Last wrestler standing wins, is named the Scourge Scramble winner and the Number One contender for the MCW World Championship! Best part about that is they get that Championship match at MAYHEM MANIA!

May's
MAYHEM MANIA Pay-Per-View: This is our Wrestlemania styled event. This is our top Pay-Per-View event of the year and the event that everyone and their dog wants to be apart of! Only the most spectacular matches, feuds and Championship matches are seen here. There is no ordinary here, only the extraordinary!

October's
DOOMSDAY Pay-Per-View: This is our King of the Ring styled event. This is a tournament that runs for the whole month of October. The qualifying rounds take place in the first week, the quarter-finals the second week, semi-finals the third week and the finals take place at Doomsday. If you win this tournament, that grants you severe bragging rights over the rest of your fellow wrestlers; plus it doesn't hurt to have the moniker of Doomsday Survivor on your resume either!

Role Playing

Role playing is, simply put, the foundation on which any e-federation works. Role playing builds up any good storyline, allows us insight on your wrestler and pushes your submitted written wrestling match for a win. Here in the MCW, we have three different ways you can role play but all three of them are just as crucial as the last in order to help your wrestler ascend the ranks to the rop of the proverbial MCW mountain!

Trash Talking: Even though it may be the most common and well-known way to get you noticed in any e-federation, trash talking is one of the most effective forms of role playing out there! In the MCW, trash talking is done on the forums outside of the Arena setting and may not involve any other wrestler but your own. (You may trash talk other wrestlers, but you are not allowed to speak for other wrestlers.) Feel free to talk as much trash as you want, in fact, we the MCW Staff smile upon such participation. Just understand that it is required you role play a minimum of once a week or we will have to re-evaluate keeping you on the roster. Trash talking may be as long or as short as you want but we just ask for some form of participation.

Interviews: The interview is a great way to flesh out your wrestler by exploring his/her personality and past in a more in-depth way. Interviews are also done on the forums outside of the Arena setting and may not include any other wrestler but your own. (You can, however, include the Interviewer as they will be asking the questions.) You may also do some trash talking in an Interview as well but this is a good forum for adding more perspective to your wrestler.

From time to time, the MCW Staff may also send you an interview via e-mail with pre-set questions we would like to see answered. These interviews will end up being broadcast on our weekly shows. (Don't worry about having to constantly check your e-mail for these; we will post planned Interviews on the card to give you a heads-up before hand!)

Event Vignettes:
This is the only form of role playing in the MCW that is done in the Arena setting! Event Vignettes take place during the weekly broadcasts and Pay-Per-Views. Such examples include: in-ring segments, a segment in the back or that was recorded earlier, backstage attacks, pre-match/post-match interviews, etc. etc. You may only submit one Event Vignette per broadcast (Unless multiple are needed for storyline purposes) and it will be determined by the MCW Staff if it will be included. (We will almost always include Vignettes.)

Note: All Event Vignettes are to be no longer than a page long in Times New Roman with a 12 pt. font. There are no limits for Trash Talking and/or Interviews.

Well, those are the rules of the MCW. These are in place to ensure that we run an organized, yet interactive and exciting e-federation! If you have any questions or comments, please contact the MCW Staff at
the__mcw@hotmail.com. Otherwise, if you are interested, feel free to proceed to the Application and join the ranks of Mayhem Championship Wrestling!
