My Published Poems
I have had two poems published via Poetry.Com.  I am posting them here.  I am far from Robert Frost or any of the great poets, but I like to "try my hand" at poetry.
Beautiful Danger

Wisps of cottony, soft white.
Twisting, turning, spinning, swirling
Dancing a dance choreographed by the wind.
Falling upon one another
Making mounds of softness
As though angels had sifted talcum from heaven.
Glistening in the lights of the night
With a brillance more eye-catching
than the Hope Diamond.
Breathtaking to behold,
Yet underneath its beauty lies danger.
As the foot slips on the unseen ice
And the car goes into a slide,
The Beauty and the Beast of the storm
Is revealed.

Life Circle

Life.
Not the straight path we believe.
Circle after circle connecting
like a spiral you draw absent mindly
as you sit in a meeting where you do not
want to be.
Going on and on like the drone
of the voice
of the school secretary making announcements
over the inter-com system.
An occasional event grabbing your attention
like a hurricane
make a larger circle than the other
until -
"ashes, ashes, we all fall down."

Here is a cute little poem that I found. The author is Susan D. Anderson.

Midlife Muddle

When we were young
you made me blush
got hot and cold
and turn to mush.
I still feel all those things
it's true,
But is it menopause or you?
