Dakota Ridge/Red Rocks Loop

Riders: Erik & Natalie
Trails: Dakota Ridge, Red Rocks
Distance: 7 miles
Date: April 24, 2001

The Dakota Ridge trail traverses a beautiful 'hogback' near the small town of Morrison, with views of Denver on one side and the Red Rocks amphitheater and mountains to the west. After about three miles of very challenging terrain, we crossed the road and returned on the easier but no less scenic Red Rocks Trail.
