Famous People I Have Met

Dick Dale, king of the surf guitar, has been playing for decades. A great man and guitarist. Best known now for his song "Miserlou" in the movie Pulp Fiction. If you ever have a chance to see Dick Dale perform, do it. For the past two years, he has performed at Goodfellas on Queens Way in downtown Hampton. Harvey Pekar in the man behind the comic book American Splendor and the focus of the movie American Splendor. I had a chance to meet him at a screening of American Splendor at Old Dominion University. A down to earth and pretty funny guy. Click the picture to the right for Harvey's website.

Bruce Campbell. Not much to say about him, but that he is one of the greatest actors alive. From Evil Dead to Bubba Ho-tep, he has proven himself again and again. I went all the way to Washington DC to have a chance at meeting the marvel of actorosity. I don't think actorosity is a word, but it should be. Considered to be just another B-movie actor, Bruce Campbell does get to be in A-movies. Like when he played the snooty usher in Spider-man 2. Hear it. Feel it. Dig it. Scott Bravo is one of the greatest instrumental guitarists out there. A very good friend of mine, Scott amazes my everyday with his strong convictions and his amazing abilities. He never gives up and always moves forward. Go listen to a couple of tunes on his site.
