Born in DC, and raised in Suitland, MD in the 80's. D Black (Dwain Shaw) was influened by hiphop from a early age. Acting out old N.W.A and D.O.C videos and the usual Mc Hammer dance, He had a somewhat curve toward Rap. Even as a child listining to gospel music 75% of the time he still had a hiphop calling. Soon later he moved to Camp Springs/Temple Hills area. Where his best friend and rap partner Tommy Tom lived at. D Black didn't start writting his lyrics until the 10th grade. And he didnt prove his rap skills until he was 17. With a strange but cool style. Now, 20 he feels he got what it takes to put DC/MD where it needs to be in rap. Also, he hopes he can really put in his work for 9 Power Entertainment.
