Bathroom Stories
Page 2
**Bill had and interesting experience in France.  He had to pee against the wall in the bathroom and it went down a drain in the floor.  It seems there is always a new story when we travel.
**It is always an experience to try and figure out how to flush the toilets.  We have seen many different flushing devices.  Many minutes have been spent staring at the toilets to solve this puzzle.  What a way to pass the time.  Oh and if you are wondering, there may be two buttons to push on the wall to flush the toilet.  One big and one small.  They correspond to the size job you have just done..sorry to be so descriptive..
**Our hotel rooms in Paris had a closet with only a toilet and then a separate room with a sink and shower/bathtub.  Now if you think about it...you have to go to the bathroom, open the door, go out and then go into the other room with the sink to wash your hands....I don't like the whole idea.
**You will find a toilet scrub brush in all toilets...even if it is a hole in the ground.  You are expected to scrub the toilet everytime you go if needed...yuck.  I don't know who had touched that toilet brush before washing their hands, but just the idea of now touching it makes me shudder.
**Another thing we discovered is that there are often hotel rooms that do not have stand up showers.  Only a bathtub with a hand held shower head.  If you want a stand up shower you need to ask for it....same goes with air conditioning in a hotel.  Don't assume you will get either without asking.
**Germany was "world cup" crazy this year.  This was never more apparent than when Bill went to the bathroom in a mexican restaurant in Mainz.  He found a goalie net and soccer ball in the urinal.  You'll have to ask him how many goals he made. He took pictures....see below.
