Andrew's 5 CDs to take with him when he's stranded on a dessert island and there just happens to be a cd player on the beach and he can't pick up any radio signals. |

1. AFI - Black Sails in the Sunset |
With my large assortment of AFI disks I had a real problem figuring this one out. But "Black Sails" definetaly does it for me. A smooth combination of rapid-punk-rifts used in AFI's early days on the East Bay, with the dreary-goth lyrics that define their style today. The only way to keep A Fire Inside your island. |

2. Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies |
Cry, mosh, or just get totally sloshed off of this smooth blend of Irish folk and punk rock. I had another conondrum when deciding between this album and "Swagger". Molly's other album. However, I stand by my decision, there will be jigging around the camp fire with this record blaring in the background, boyo. |

3. Green Day - Dookie |
Who doesn't like this album? It's arguably the most played punk record of the nineties and actually won punk rock a grammy. Not that it needs the exposure, it's just nice to know that some critics have some taste. The fast paced tempo and catchy melodies keeps me Comin' Around for more, even when I'm All by Myself. |

4. Smashing Pumpkins - Melen Collie and the Infinate Sadness |
This double cd by the Chicago based Pumpkins introduced be to counter culture when I was just a wee one. If I had not begged my mom to by me this cd when I was 11, I would not have started listening to Nirvana. If I had not listened to Nirvana I would have never let punk rock influence me the way it has. The vocals are chiling, the bass is rolling, and the rifts are exilerating. You can listen to this double disked wonder When you Only Come out at Night, or back in 1979. |

5. MxPx - Ten Years and Running |
I can listen to this cd at any time. When I'm depressed, when I'm trying to sleep, or when I need to get hyped. The cd is a tossed salad of all the sounds that MxPx has become famouse for. Starting out with the blood pumping Punk Rawk Show this album takes a big handfull of punk and shoves it down your throat. MxPx also has an exilerating stage presentation when they're At the Show. |
