Kathmandu in between treks (April 9th - April 13th)

The last few days, I spent enjoying myself in Kathmandu. It's nice to be in a city again where (it feels like) everything is possible. I met up with Onno and his sister Kim. Had a few too much beers one night. Went walking around the city. Today we hired some mountain bikes to explore the area. First to the Boddhinath Stupa (largest buddhist temple in Nepal). Very nice and impressive. We just spent a while hanging around there. After this, the bike trail took us through little villages in the Kathmandu valley. I'm not a big mountain biking fan, but thoroughly enjoyed it (but also was happy to do a little walking to give my butt and arms some relief). Now, it's on to the last preparations and tomorrow Onno and I will take a bus to the beginning of the Annapurna Circuit. The whole circuit will take about three weeks. After this, more updates of my adventures.
