I'm afraid that there's not a lot I can help you with. I never applied to any graduate studies (MSc, PhD) programs in Canada, and as such, I have no experience or information regarding the graduate program admissions process. The other problem is that I am but a first year medical student. As a result, I don't
know what my options would be regarding entry into a PhD program after already obtaining an MD. The only advice I can give you applies to UBC; I suggest you contact the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, where they are involved in both clinical work, as well as graduate and post-doctoral research.
