| About Us: My name is Melissa and my husband is Bill. We have been involved with raising and showing dogs since 1980. I started as a child training my dogs at our local 4-H club. I bought my first golden in 1976. We got our first dane in 1993.The rest is history.... We have been blessed and have had the help of great mentors. We have had the honor of breeding and showing several champions, and a few obedience titled dogs as well. Among them a BISS, multi-group winning,Top 10, SDHF golden retriever, and 3 BISS, multi-group placing, Top 20 great danes. The showing and breeding are secondary, first and foremost they are members of our family and wonderful companions! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our Breeding program: We strive to produce better dogs with each breeding that we plan. Our dogs are checked for potential hereditary problems before being used for breeding. Some of the health checks performed on them are for hips, eyes , heart, thyroid, and vwd. Of course they are not only sound in body but equally important is that they are sound in mind, and have wonderful temperments too!
