	I started reading his books after picking up December.  Spooky often chilling paranormal thrillers with appealing characters and often a dark tone.  December is a book I could see crossing successfully onto the screen. Had a number of standalone books of dark happenings along ley-lines. Rickman now writes a series featuring Merrily Watkins female clergy and local exorcist.  Initially interesting I confess my interest in the series has dwindled.  Merrily despite her experiences is never allowed to learn anything rather she seems to wander into situations and be used repeatedly as a pawn.  The daughter who’s rebellion to her mother’s values gave opportunities to explore other religious view points and as an introduction to several catastrophes should surely by now be maturing some.  Also the latest of the books are longer and the pace more dense read.
