Your Poems

These are poems that are sent to me by people visiting my site. I've given up on the contests.

do you ever think of me
do you reminisce
about the way i'd hold u tight
about the way we kissed
do u ever think about
just how good it was
u make me lose sleep at night
and its because
late at night i lie awake
thinking about u
and i hope that by some chance
your thinking of me too
late at night i lie awake
and think of you and me
and think of how to get things back
the way they used to be
they all said
it wouldn't work
i guess we proved them rite
cuz no matter what i try
i cant forget that night
the way u said its over
the way u made me cry
the way u said there is someone else
the way u said good-bye

LINES ON THE SUBJECT OF LOVE

Love, what a beautifully tragic word
Causes great pain or joy
The phrase, for those who haven't heard
Can intrigue, bloom, or destroy
Many have breathed love's sweet perfume
And were flooded with emotion
Which quickly spread around the room
Without any commotion
Sweet like sugar, rich like honey
Love is kind, yet cruel someways
When in love, your days seem sunny
But only through that rainy haze
Love can be once or twice or even three
But true love lies deep within thee

WHAT IF....

He came into town on an old freight train
Just jumped off in the pouring rain
And people say, "He's sure insane"
Just a low count hobo

What if Jesus comes back like that?
On an old freight train, in a hobo hat?
Will we let him in or turn our backs?
What if He comes back like that?

She was born into drug abuse
Couldn't help what her Mama used
Wasn't like she got to choose
Now she's lying there alone

What if Jesus comes back like that?
Will he cry when he sees where our hearts are at?

A shining star, his only light
A baby born that silent night
A manger for his bed

What if Jesus comes back like this?
And sees the sin that's in our midst?
Will it ruin His eternal bliss?
And Heaven we will have to miss?
What if Jesus comes back like this?
