Meadowlake Youth Baseball League
Coaches

All Meadowlake Youth Baseball League coaches are volunteers and are certified through the National
Youth Sports Coaches Association each year.  The training is essential to our mission and to provided
free of charge by the League.

(Richland County Recreation Commission requires background checks for all youth league coaches.)
Parents(s) and Volunteer Involvement

Parents are critical to the operation of the league and their active involvement is encouraged and
welcomed.  Most volunteers are parents of current/former players in the league.  Parents volunteer
in our concession stand during the games in which their children are not participating and serve as
     Team Mothers for our teams.
Team Selection

Teams are selected each season by draft.  All who register with the Meadowlake Youth Baseball League
will be placed on a team.  If there are players returning from the previous season, they will remain on
     their previous assigned teams.
Equipment

The League provides each player with a uniform jersey and baseball cap.  Each player's family must
provide a pair of baseball pants, a pair of cleats (rubber) and a ba seball glove for the child's use during
the season.    All other playing equipment
