4-H WETHER PROSPECTS

4-Hers in search of that show winning wether, look no further.  Show wethers specifically bred for market classes will be born from March til May 2007.  Meadowkark Farm has a reputation of breeding class topping wethers and does.  In the past three years, Meadowlark Farm has either bred or is genetically connected to many reserve and grand champion county market competitions as well as Reserve Grand at the 2006 MD State Fair (did not attend in 05' or 06')! As an added bonus, all 4-H wethers this year will be FULLBLOODED BOERS Please email us as soon as possible to reserve your kids.  We will assist you in finding that perfect market kid so that you can acheive a maximum rate gain and desirable weight class for your fair!

At the very competitive Great Frederick Fair market show, Meadowlark Lucifer was RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION. Lucifer was also Reserve Grand Chamption at Maryland State Fair only a month before!!

Many goat breeders have taken advantage of Meadowlark Farm genetics, even the GRAND CHAMPION Market Goat at the Great Frederick Fair -owned by Franchesca Moxley!  Her doe was out of Meadowlark Sirus.  Congratulations Franchesca!

All whethers are dehorned and weaned here at the farm.  We encouage 4-Hers to leave the bucks intact for at least three months before castration.  Prices range from $100-200 per kid depending on age.

BREEDING STOCK

This year we have had some awesome kids hit the ground.  All were sired by CSF Banjo, an extremely structurally correct and heavy muscled buck we purchased from Chestnut Springs Farm.  All kids for sale in this section can be considered show quality and are encouraged to be shown.  As more come available there pictures will be posted!
