Training . . .

In 1998 Meadowridge Farm built a state of the art training facility located on its farm outside of Middletown, New York.  The forty stall training barn has undergone extensive refitting.  All stalls have been given protective wall padding, a rubber floor has been laid on all horse paths, new wash racks have been installed, and out Aquatred is now operational.  There are also twenty-two 18 x 18 outside sun paddocks nearby to compliment the stalls in the barn.  The training center is outfitted with individual covered hotwalkers and wash racks for each of the barns as well as two round pens and an arean for breaking purposes. The gems of the training center are the 3/4 mile dirt track and 1-mile turf gallop, which rivals any track in the state.  The nain track fetaures aluminum safety rails modeled after those at Churchill Downs, 7 degree banked turns, excelletn cushion and superior drainage system, allowing for training almost 365 days a year, even during some of New York's most iclimate weather.  The training center is provides the necessary facilities and space for breaking and training of our yearlings and two year olds, as well as complete rehabilitation and lay-up service, incliding lameness detection and treatment, post-operative care, and resting adn treatment for lay-up horses. George Callaghan is the Training Center Mangaer, bringing with him 42 years of horsemanship and skill.  In the past he has run the Ireland training centers, as well as having maintained his own public racing stable.  George's horsemanship, attention to detail and talent and expereince in breaking and training horses is a welcome addition and asset to Meadowridge's Team.  Meadowridge Farm We are very proud of the accomplishments of our graduates, andhave earned the reputation of sending out horses in top physical and mental condition.
