I work at Brooks, but I
suppose I don't have any right to use their logo, but it looks neat,
so I am. One evening--a Thursday, to be exact--many of us were
working (as happens on the day when the supply truck arrives) and I
purchased a Brooks brand disposable camera to capture the
magic.

This is
aisle 2, filled with many, many boxes. That's Jennelyn, one of my
shift supervisors down there at the end. This is pre-Christmas
time.

This is
Amber and Zac, both of whom are cashiers, like me. Well, Amber is.
Zac was. He moved to Florida somewhat recently, breaking up our
marvelous Brooks family.

This is a
pretty bad picture of Jennelyn, but the only other one I have is
her wearing these monstrous reading glasses and a swimming cap. She
has also left Brooks.

I'm rather
fond of this one. In the background, yawning and sitting on a tote,
surrounded by many boxes, is Diane, my other shift supervisors. She
and Jennelyn are so very funny. Zac is in the front, looking quite
energetic.

Amber,
looking somewhat confused. The flash didn't always work on that
camera.

An amusing
portrait of Diane.

Me, in the
stationary aisle...something Zac took.

Sort of a
strange-angled close-up of Amber and Zac.

This is from
a different Thursday evening. It's Jen, and you can't really see her
too well, but she's also on my friends page, since we were friends
prior to Brooks. She didn't want me to take her picture this night,
but I tricked her. She hit me later...

This is
Peter, head pharmacist at our particular Brooks. Before we became a
Brooks, we were Liggett Rexall, a hometown pharmacy that Peter owned,
so we go way back. Well, a year.

This is Lou,
the lady who trained me when I first started working at Liggett's,
and she is an absolute delight to work with.

Brooks...it's
an interesting place to work. There's a handful of unphotographed
employees...I'll work on that.
