Most of us have learned in school that rain forests are the lungs of the earth. They absorb lethal carbon monoxide(CO) and produce oxygen(O) for all living creatures. However, since the emergence of industralizations, thousands and thousands of acres of the world's forests have been cut by us human. It is sad to know that some of these huge trees,which took a hundred year or so to grow,could be brought down within minutes with a gas-powered chainsaw. From Brazil to Cambodia, trees are being cut at an enormous rate.

Take Cambodia for instance, just some years ago Cambodia's forest was estimated at 72%. But, currently due to fast rate cuttings, the country's forest has dropped to a record low of 32%. As trees are being cut down, we are not only wiping off certain species, but we are endangering our very own survival. With deforestations, natural disasters are imminent to human kind. Thus, we as an individual should take part in protecting the earth's rain forests. Be aware of the problem, avoid buying products that might contribute in destroying the forests, and most importantly help recycle. PEACE!!! >:)
