Meat Loaf's Music Biography:

Somewhere in Texas, Marvin Lee Aday was born. His hole youth he lived in Texas. Over how he get the name
Meat Loaf there are several stories. One of them is that his father called him ML (Marvin Lee) and later this turned into Meat loaf. The coach from his schools football team also called him Meat.

In 1974 Meat Loaf met Jim Steinman, a musical writer. Jim was overwelmed by the voice of Meat Loaf, so Meat starred Steinmans musical "More Than You Deserve". Meat had a idea of making an album with Jim. It was hard to find a record company who wanted to release the album, so Todd Rundgren signed them. And in Oktober 1977 released Cleveland International the album called "Bat Out Of Hell".



After to much touring and drugs Meat lost his voice when he and Jim were working on the follow up album. After that he had a breakdown, So Jim did the album called "Bad For Good" by himself.

After the breakdown Meat released Dead Ringer, with songs from Jim Steinman.
Then begun the hell for Meat with a bankruptcy.
After that in 1983 he released Midnight At The Lost And Found, with most sungs written by himself.

In 1984 Meat signed by Arista and made the Bad Attitude album, and in 1986 Blind Befor I Stop.
Then he came in contact with Jim and they talked about Bat II. Arista wouldn't make that album, so they released a live album (Live At Wembley, 1987)
After touring in the end of the eighties Meat signed at Virgin Records, and started working with Jim on Bat II. And the release was in 1993: Bat Out Of Hell 2: Back Into Hell



On Virgin he released in 1995 Welcome To The Neighbourhood and in 1998 The Very Best Of. In March of 2003 the new Meat Loaf album will be released. It will carry the name: (I) Couldn't Have Said It Better (Myself). The first single is already released on the German radio.
