Course Attendance-MANDATORY-Each student will need to be present in keeping with the university policy. After 20% absences (excused or not excused), the student is subject to a failing grade. . Excessive lateness to class will be noted; two lates equal one absence. Early departure also counts--two early departures or cominbation with lates also equals one absence. Should a student have PERFECT attendance (ZERO absences, excused or unexcused), he or she will receive a bonus of three points added to their final average. If a student is late or leaves early two times during the semester, this disqualifies the student for perfect attendance, even if they are present every day in class. Attendance penalty for students--one absence=0 deduction-but no bonus; two absences=3 points off final final avg; three absences=3 points off final avg; 4 absences = 5 points off failing class; 5 absences=10 points off final average; 6 absences=20 points off final average; more than 6 absences =F | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
