Semester Paper Guidelines
As per the syllabus,
* 10-12 page paper (text only, cover page, abstract, and any appendix or reference list is NOT counted toward the 10-12 page requirement)
* must use APA or MLA style throughout the paper--copies of the style manual are available at most book stores in town * All term papers are due FRIDAY, APRIL 13!! Late papers will lose one full letter grade for each school day it is late. NO PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED, EVEN AS LATE, AFTER WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18. AFTER APRIL 18, THE STUDENT WILL RECEIVE A ZERO (0) ON THE PAPER. * Choose a rhetorical theory, from the book or one we discussed in class (i.e., invitational rhetoric), write a literature review of the critical method; next, choose your rhetorical artifact (speech, film, etc), then briefly describe the artifact while applying it to the critical method. A good way to divide the paper would be spend out 1-2 page introducing your paper, 2-3 pages reviewing your theory, 1-2 page reviewing your artifact, and 4-6 pages applying your method specifically to the artifact for analysis.
* If you have questions about this project, class time is not the place for it--please email me or meet with me in my office for an appointment.
