History: Castile's father was the twin brother of the current king of Shiro. After the past King died, Azerik took the throne over his brother, because he was a genius military strategist and his wife, who was a duchess of Ichidou in her own right, was a very good diplomat. Both of their skills were needed as the Second War of the Dragons had begin to pick up pace, after droning on for almost a hundred years after the other dragon mechas had fallen to Tou. The Shiro mechas had been able to hold out, but the tide was starting to turn. Soon after taking the thrown, the Queen gave birth to a baby girl, Castile. The war dragged on at an almost stand still until the regular visit of the Dragon Mage neared the Shiro kingdom. The Queen struck upon a novel idea to engage the three year old Castile to the three year old Prince Kamite. The Royal Family of Tou quickly pounced on the idea, seeing it as a quick way to gain the Shiro lands for their family eventually. The arrangements were rushed to be done in time for the arrival of the Dragon Mage, to receive his blessing and good will. But when the dragon Mage arrived, he announced to the stunned parents that he had come to take Castile to be trained as the next Dragon Mage. Outraged, for it was well known that Dragon Mages could never have children, the Tou family demanded that they refuse the Dragon Mage. Unwilling to anger the powerful magician, the Shiro family had no choice but to give Castile up and return to warring with Tou. Soon after, a small group of troops revolted. The revolt was quickly put down, but Azerik was killed in one of the skirmishes. Queen Xonaris, without her husband and her daughter whereabouts unknown, soon died of grief. Castile was taken in secret to Ichidou and trained there by the Dragon Mage. She learned about science, math, literature, languages, politics, economics, and magic. She was also taught how to act as a Dragon Mage, to hide your own emotions and to always appear above the situation. She never really had any friends during her childhood. When the Dragon Mage died when Castile turned 18, she received the Dragon's Blood talismans. As per tradition, she began to tour the countries, to let them know that the new Dragon Mage was not one to be crossed. After going around Ichidou, she went to Shiro. Always aware of who she was born, Castile avoided the castle as long as possible. She instead visited a well renowned lord, who was also the driver of the Cerridwen mecha. The lord was a charming and flirtatious person, who was always friendly to her as a person instead of a Dragon Mage. At first, Castile didn't like it; she had been overly respected because of her position all of her life and no one had dared tried to become her friend. But she noticed that she kept prolonging her stay to two weeks instead of one, then three, and finally she had been there a whole month. The two became very good friends, confidants in each other. She listened to how he hated the responsibility of his position when all he wanted to do was fight for his country. He listened to her feelings that she had never knew how to express. The fact that the Dragon Mage was taken an extended time in Shiro did not go unnoticed by Tou. They quickly decided to dispatch a patch of assassins to kill the young Lord. The assassins were careful not to attack around Castile, and picked a time when the lord was away from her. She only arrived at the battle as they just slew him. It was the first time that Castile had ever cast the God's Slayer spell. As the crater started to fill with water, Castile made a promise to her friend that she would take his place in the fight against Tou. Knowing where the Cerridwen mecha was hidden, for he had long ago shown it to her, Castile took it and went directly to the Shiro castle. She offered her services to the King and Queen as both dragon Mage and a Dragon mecha driver. She did ask that no one be told who she really is, especially her cousins and other mecha drivers. |

Item: Castile's item is her four Dragon's Blood talismans, an object that most people use to identify Dragon Mages, like a crown identifies a king. They actually cast a small glamour spell around her that adds a sense of power to her as well as doubling her magical power. They also allow her to control spells she normally wouldn't be able to, like the God's Slayer and the Megido Flare. She wears one on each wrist, |
one on her belt, and one under her neck on the clasp of her cape. Mecha Name: Cerridwen Mecha Appearance: Cerridwen was one of the last dragons who was turned into a mecha, not because he was overly strong, but because he was fast, agile, and cunning. The Cerridwen mecha is the same. it is not overly strong, and it does not have a weapon, but its thin frame makes it mobile and limer. It has the speed to dart away from physical attacks, for it can't compete with the other mechas in that arena. (Refer to image with image that has dragon on first page) Powers: Castile's magic calls upon the powers of other beings and then channels it through herself. This allows her to use much more powerful spells but also drains out her endurance and can have much more serious consequences when over used. Because she simply channels power, when casting spells inside of Cerridwen, her spells become twice as powerful. Cerridwen is a dragon who was born with magic, so it only adds to the power Castile is calling. |

Castile can gain the ability to fly by creating a shield of wind around herself. She can carry other people, but since the speed, diameter, and the maximum weight that can be carried all depend on Castile's endurance, more weight means less speed. Castile can take anything she can drag, depending on whether she casts the spell in Cerridwen or not. In other words, if she cast it outside of Cerridwen, she wouldn't |
be able to carry a tree, but in Cerridwen, it wouldn't be a problem. The shield of wind also serves as a defensive shield. The shield can also protect the caster from all but the more powerful spells. Castile can cast this spell with a mere thought, making it one of her more useful spells. |

"Oh source of all power, light which burns beyond crimson. Everlasting flame burning through the flow of time. Let thy power gather in my hand! Megido Flare!"- Castile's fire spell which she uses the most. She can cast this spell five times a day, but it will cause her to become completely drained. Over casting it causes paralysis, vomiting blood, and eventually, uncontiousness. As Castile chants the spell, she holds |
her hands up in the air, red light starting to gather between her palms. Once done, she brings her arms down and pointing out in front of her so that they are level with the ground. As she says the final two words of the spell, the red light spirals into a sphere before it releases a huge beam of fire that can be shot in any direction. The fireball itself would be able to liquefy a whole stone castle wall but it also sets everything in the area of impact on fire. |
