Appearance: A wizened and frail old man with a long white beard and long eye blows that hide his deep emerald eyes. His skin is age worn and leathery to the touch. His long frail fingers are tipped with small sharp claws and the top of his hands are covered in soft leathery scales. These small scales run up his arms, cover his back, and down his legs. His ears are angular and pointed, far more sharply then any elf's ears. These are normally hidden by his hat or his long white hair. He wears long robes of light navy blue and white silk and cotton. His hat bears his wizard's mark, a special symbol that used to be made by most priests and sorcerers to identify something as theirs. Hidden within the confines of his navy robe are a set of old leathery wings. They are still quite strong, but he can only fly for short times with them. He can carry someone with them, however this is quite dangerous.
Personality: Wizened, old, sometimes crotchety, and often kind. He's friendly and tries some things to feel young again. He chases after younger women, despite his great physical age, even though he’s sure non of them will want to settle down with the 'old fart'. He is loyal to his dragon, treating it with an age old reverence and sanctity that few show the dragons in the present day and age. Part of this is due to his priestly training, the rest his respect and reverence for the great dragon.
History: Born long ago on the out skirts of what was even then Tou, Lythander was raised in the priesthood to become a priest for the dragon Eurus, a powerful dragon of stone and the deep recesses of the earth. However, for reasons still unknown to Lythander, the dragon stopped his training and had him schooled in sorcery instead of the invocation magic’s normally used in the priesthood. He served the great dragon loyally for many long years. When the war between dragon and human broke out he was perhaps one of the dragon's most stalwart allies, but to no avail. More powerful sorcerers eventually overwhelmed the mighty beast and his aging ally.
The Mages however did not try to destroy the dragon, instead deciding to attempt the newly conceived sealing spell upon the mighty beast. As with most things new and unperfected the sealing went horribly wrong. Eurus' body was twisted and changed, its body turning into a great statue of sickly dimensions. The unperfected magic’s also caught up Lythander, who broke free and tried to stop the spell. The sealing spell bonded him with apart of the dragon's essence, turning him into what might of roughly been considered a Draconian.
With the spells failure the Mages took the transformed man and the great statue with them, leveling the dragon's citadel as they left. He was treated as a honored prisoner for the last years of the war, some of the Mages took pity upon him for what they had done to him. However, when they sent the great statue to Hitodama they also sent him. Draconian were unwanted and it would be best if he was with his kind. Upon his arrival on Hitodama he had the great twisted stature sealed away properly in a cave reminiscent of the dragon's old lair. In the mean time he acted as the Queen's Advisor and friend.
