3. Eruption: Using the Melting Crossbow and speaking the activating word of power either Coran or the Griffin can fire a very powerful explosive projectile from the crossbow. Light and heat seem to gather in the plasma bolt to the point that its painful to look at and the heat can be felt from several feet away. It also cloaks the area in crimson light like that of a erupting volcano at night. When fired by either Coran or the Griffin the bolt explodes on impact, burning and melting whatever doesn't have the luck of being torn apart by the explosive force of the bolt. When Coran fires the bolt he can regulate the strength, the most powerful being only moderately damaging to a dragon mecha or being capable of cutting a castle's tower out of the sky. The Griffin when using Eruption can cut one of the large flying barges out of the sky or cause a good bit of damage to the dragon mecha.
4. Earth In Shield: With these words the earth around either Coran or Defalk erupts into a wall of magma that forms a dome around either and solidifies into solid rock. At first this shield is weak as the magma cools. Capable of with standing one strong weak attack. But when it hardens a few moments later it takes a fairly strong attack to shatter and break the dome around either Defalk or Coran. This dome is permanent until destroyed. It can be expanded to include one or two other mecha of the Griffin's size or as many as five other people. This is the weakest power the Griffin and Coran share.
5. Pyroklastic Flow: Perhaps one of the most destructive elemental powers known. Defalk has only used this power once for destruction and it wiped a entire civilization out and nearly destroyed the Phoenix. A Pyroklastic Flow is one of natures most powerful forces. When a volcano erupts and if the side cracks and falls away the resulting eruption is called a Pyroklastic flow. A couple megatons worth of power carrying super heated gasses, stone, magma, and other things from the volcano. This flow travels at incredible speeds and destroys all in its path. Only when in Defalk can Coran use this power. depending upon where he is it can take anywhere from two hours to a few minutes to call forth the energies needed to employ this elemental destruction. It can be done with out a volcano near by simply by using most of Coran and Defalks energies. If ever used in conjunction with a dormant or active volcano it rivals the most powerful magical spells in power and destruction.
Unnamed: Coran is a Geomancer, as such he has complete control over stone and magma. but has yet to reach the mastery of a full geomancer. His abilities as a Geomancer and Defalk's pilot include a immunity to fire, heat, poisonous gasses, magma, and resistance to cold and electricity. Defalk, the Griffin, and Coran heal when submerged in lava. This healing is an extension of the Griffin's powers and the powers of it's pilot.
