Sixteen years ago King Azerik Shiro attempted to merge the two warring nations by marriage. A marriage that would of enabled Azerik to separate the dragons once more and placate the mechanist kingdom of Tou. Peace accords had been signed and the wedding was set in stone. It all came apart when Azerik invited the Dragon Mage of Ichidou to come and bless the union. Instead of blessing it he shattered any hope for peace for the next sixteen years. The accursed sorcerer took the Princess as his own, which would ruin any chance of Castile having a child with her future husband and thus fully uniting the two countries. Tou was outraged and demanded that Shiro deny the Dragon Magi’s wishes and take the Princess back. Shiro could not because the sorcerer threatened to with draw Ichidou’s aid in training the magicians and warlocks that made the magical products that fueled Shiro’s economy. Reluctantly Azerik let Castile go with the sorcerer. His once ambitious plans lay in ruin, he returned to fighting against Tou. A small contingent of soldiers lead by on of Azerik’s best generals revolted because he saw the King as weak and began raiding towns. With Torin at his side the twins rode off to dispatch the traitor.Azerik died in Torin’s arms three days after heading out in the final skirmish with the traitorous General. Three weeks after ward the widowed Xonaris Shiro died of a broken heart and Torin took the throne. Under Tor’s leadership Shiro has not only survived the war with Tou, but prospered in the mean time. Magic of most shapes and forms became a part of everyday life and the magical devices and weapons of Shiro were a more then a match for the mechanized forces of Tou. Thus locking the two countries in a decade long stalemate, magic versus mechanics. But, recently, Shiro has begun to loose ground. The formidable kingdom of Tou slowly grinding away at the more magically inclined Shiro. Currently Tor directs secret negotiation with King Bob to rekindle the truce and unite the two kingdoms by marriage using his own daughter, Sakura, to end the war and join to two kingdoms. No one save for Torin and Bob know of this, since they are still hammering out the details of the accord and marriage. Soon, provided all goes well, Tor will unite the two kingdoms and separate the dragons once more so that they may never be released from their servitude. Item: None currently, but he does have plans for acquiring one of the God Weapons, preferably the supposedly lost Mace or mysterious Jewelry. Mecha Name: Morkeleb Mecha Appearance: This powerful non-magical mecha was a wedding gift from King Bob to King Azerik Shiro before his untimely demise. Morkeleb stands twenty eight feet tall at the top if the armor’s helmet, not including the crest that rises a few feet higher on the helm. Despite being decorated with a number of very valuable gems and extravagant appearance, Morkeleb is a truly impressive fighting machine made possible by the genius of King Bob. The armor is equipped with numerous cleverly hidden long and short range weapons. Powers: Named: 1. Morkeleb: A powerful non-magical mecha from Tou, given as a wedding present to the former king. It is a match for any one of the Tou Dragons. The largest and most notable weapon Morkelb carries is a collapsible broad sword carried in a special scabbard on its back. Other weapons include a pair of retractable small curved shields and spikes in the arm. A folding dagger atop each arm, detachable metal shields on the hips, both with razors edges, retractable blades in the foot, a pair of pincer claws on the chest in case of close grappling. The large gems on the shoulders are actually made of a new kind of non-magnetic material that doesn’t dent or break. These can be removed along with handle in the shoulders and used as a ball and mace or used as devastating throwing weapons. On the chest is a red orb that is actually a very powerful explosive. It can be fired like a small missile or detached and thrown like a grenade. In either case it explodes upon impact and can inflict massive damage to any of the dragon mecha. 2. Magic Lore: King Tidus is aware of everything the sorcerers and Librarians of Ichidou are aware of. He knows of all the legends surrounding the mecha and, their possible locations, the God Weapons, and arcane prophecies surrounding the return of the dragons. He knows about the rumors of the island floating above Shiro and has searched for it but has found little to substantiate the myths. This is among the other things he knows of and has researched. |
