Mike is a junior at the University of Mississippi. He is attending on a music scholarship and plays in the marching band.
He graduated high school in 1999 from Sikeston High School. He was hoping to be a cheerleader at Ole Miss his freshman year but due to a tumbling injury he was unable to finish trying out. We went to the emergency room instead. We were just happy that his finger limbered up enough to play sax and audition for band.
Mike was inaugurated into National Honor Society in the spring of '99 and was in "Who's Who" for 3 years. He was the fine arts winner in the 1996 Mr. Missouri Teen Achiever contest. Mike plays clarinet, saxophone and guitar.
