9th Brigade 5th Division Mecosta County MI Fall training will continue to concentrate on shelter construction as the weather becomes colder, training includes methods of fire starting, water resupply, purification, hunting, butchering & cooking of wild game as it applies to team & unit operations. Be prepared to be challenged by this experience those who have the adequate clothing, level 1 & 2 equipment, MI small game, regular firearms deer & or antlerless deer hunting licenses are the only members who are allowed to participate. Tactical security procedures will be practiced during this training session on a 24 hour basis. Sanitary camp prodedures are a must "piss tree" & latrine rules must be strictly adhered to during these training periods. Members who participates get to put all the training together in a way that helps them to understand the reality of defending the area we live in & enjoying the bounty of the land. This is as close to survival training as it gets do not forget your mess kits & eating utensils. Since some of the members will continue on to hunting camps members may bring hunting campers for use at night before after the 24 hour training sessions they must be kept locked in the parking area. NO ALCOHOL, NO PETS. No firearms that hold over 5 rounds in the magazine & 1 round in the chamber for a total of 6 rounds all MI firearm hunting regulations are to be observed. Fall training in conjunction with MI small game, regular & antlerless firearm deer seasons. The 24 hour training session is used to train militiamen in the hunting, butchering & cooking of wild game as it applies to team & unit operations. All members who participated must have current MI small game licenses, regular firearm deer & or anterless firearm deer licenses for Mecosta County MI where the training is conducted, adequate clothing, level 1 & 2 equipment. Orange caps & vests were put away by putting their overwhites on and or storing them in their cargo pockets after they reached "deer camp". Each rifle team provided security on a rotating basis in the "deer camp" during the training excercise. | ||||||||||||||||
