Update
Site will be updated in September 2003 and my troublesome e-mail address has now been updated.

Please do drop me your wants list and don't forget to offer me any RA officer groups or medals.

Some items have a note that a sale has been agreed. If you are interested in a medal that has this footnote please do contact me in case the deal falls through, several deals have fallen through in the past.

If you are waiting for a reply from me, please bear with me.  I have been swamped with e-mails and I am dealing with them one at a time.  Thanks for your understanding.

Enjoy...

Andy

PS:  I have added a "What did I miss page?" [CLICK HERE] so that you can see what has already been sold.

About me
I am not a dealer. I am a collector who is selling part of his collection to re-focus on his real passion, medals to officers of the artillery.

So far I have only listed a very small part of the collection of medals that I have for sale.

If you have specific needs or interests please let me know and I will see if there is anything in the rest of the medals that I will be selling.

I am a member of the OMRS, SSP, RBL and RAFA.

About the Prices
I have used the Medal Yearbook as a guide. Some medals are very rare others are more common and they are priced accordingly. As per the Medal Yearbook I have added a certain percentage to medals to cavalry, guards, officers, casualties etc. I have checked a sample of these against current prices and find them to be competitive. In some cases, especially where a medal has not been seen on the market for years, the estimate is substantially above the Medal Yearbook price, this is a reflection on their availability rather than catalogue price - the opposite is also true.

About the Medals
In putting together this list my biggest problem has been identifying the quality of the medals – what one person calls EF is another’s NEF, one persons MINT is another’s EF. Generally the buyer seems to have a much higher standard than the seller, if you see what I mean.

I refuse to follow the recent trend of advertising medals as "renamed, a few edge knocks, polished, re-affixed but otherwise EF". This is the reason why (just about) every medal is accompanied with a two sided scan. If you need any more information please feel free to drop me an e-mail

This will allow you to make up your own mind and buy the medal as if you have seen it at a show. In any case, if you are not happy, I offer a 30 day full refund – naturally once the medal is returned.

Most of these medals came from major London auction houses and major UK dealers.

Part Ex-change and Lay-By

I offer part exchange on all of these items, although I do prefer to sell. I know a large number of collectors I could be interested in any item that I could easily sell on.

For my own collection I am interested if you have medals to officers of the artillery (RA, RHA, RGA, RFA, HEIC - just don't tell the wife!),

I am quite open to selling the more important items over several months, e-mail me and let me know the dates by which you could get this money to me. I am sure we can sort something out.

About the Site
I will be adding other medals and groups to this site over the coming months so please send me your e-mail address if you would like to be informed when I post new items.

The site is built in HTML so can be viewed in any browser and I have used very few graphics so it will download quickly – I know what it is like not to be able to access a database or spend half an hour waiting for a photo that is out of focus. Could this be the fastest medal site on this market?

Once the site is fully functional I will move it away from Geocities to a new address, in the meantime please forgive the adverts in the top right hand corner.
