Course Description:


This course is designed to introduce students to the world of communications. Students will study oral, print and technology communication practices. This will be done through the use of computer technology, Internet experiences and written and oral expression.

Course Content:


1.  Using Communication Strategies.

2.  Examining Professional Relationships.

3.  Expanding Thinking Skills.

4.  Developing Leadership Skills.

5.  Understanding Media

6.  Using Journalistic Writing Skills

7.  Using Photojournalism Skills.

8.  Investigating Careers In Agriculture Communications.

9.  Improving Public Speaking Skills.

Grading Policy:

The course will follow the school grading policy.
90-100        A
80-89          B
70-79          C
60-69          D
below 60     F 

Exams and Worksheets = 50%
Outside work, participation, and delivering a speech = 20%
Nine weeks test = 15%
Semester test = 15%
