MEDFORD SCHOOL FARM RULES
Please read and understand these rules.
The Medford School Farm will be used for FFA and 4-H student livestock projects. It is the intent of the Medford School District to furnish this facility for the students to keep their livestock used for Supervised Agriculture Experience Programs which does serve as part of a students’ grade enrolled in Agriculture Education. It is the duty of all the students’ keeping animals on the property to help maintain the property. Only students enrolled in Agriculture Education or Grant County 4-H will be allowed to keep livestock projects on the property.
ALL PROJECTS MUST BE APPROVED BY MR. ROGERS!
1. Livestock projects may consist of barrows, gilts, steers, heifers, wethers, and ewes intended for showing. All specialty projects must be approved by Mr. Rogers. 2. All breeding animals must be approved by Mr. Rogers. 3. All livestock will be maintained in a humane way. 4. Reckless or careless driving will not be tolerated. 5. Items that are kept at this facility are the property of either an individual or the FFA chapter. Do not remove anything that does not belong to you. 6. Pick up all trash, dispose of cans, feed sacks, etc. Even if they do not belong to you. Put in trash dumpster only. 7. The use of alcoholic beverages or possession of such is strictly prohibited while on any school property. 8. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. It is not wise to bring friends who are not in FFA of 4-H to the school farm. 9. Do not feed or water someone’s animal unless told to do so. 10. Respect others property. Do not enter the pen of someone’s animal unless you are permitted to do so. 11. Every year all animals will need to be removed and a checklist will be completed. Failure to remove the animals will result in removal without notice and school farm privileges will be terminated. 12. Roll up water hoses after each use. ** Taking on a livestock project is a big responsibility. If you intend not to take care of these animals properly, strongly consider not getting one.
REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULES: If it’s not yours don’t mess with it. If it’s broke fix it. If you borrow it take it back. If you move it put it back. |
