RELEASE FORM FOR MEDFORD FFA RECORD BOOKS. | |||||
An important part of being an FFA Member is keeping an FFA Record Book. This book is an economic evaluation of a student’s Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) or “project”. This information is used for numerous local, district, state, and national awards. It is a requirement when apply for local and state proficiency awards, district star awards, State FFA degrees and American FFA degrees. The information is also used in numerous other FFA awards and scholarships applications. These awards are based upon the information compiled in these record books over all of the years in the FFA program. Therefore, if the student decides not to keep a record book his or her freshman year, they will be excluded for their entire high school and FFA career. They will not be able to apply for any awards there freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year. At the end of each school year I am required to turn in to the State Career Tech Department a final all day number for every student enrolled in Agriculture Education. This number is the financial gain or loss in the student’s SAE. If the student decides not to keep a record book, I will turn in $0.00 for that student. This number is what will exclude them from any awards. This is an extremely important decision, and please understand the consequences of your actions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the school or at my home and I would gladly discuss these requirements with you. Thank you for your time and understanding with this very important matter.
