| Gail Smogard received her M.F.A. in theater from Southern Methodist University. Her work, primarily in the area of directing and script development, has included New Dramatists, The Kennedy Center's-Very Special Arts, Playwrights Horizons, The Great Lakes Theater Festival, The Ensemble Studio Theater, The Playwrights' Center, and Minnesota Public Television. Ms. Smogard has also served on the educational, outreach and artistic staffs of the Guthrie Theater and was the director of the Young and New College Playwright's program at The Playwrights' Center for four years. Ms. Smogard has been the recipient of numerous local and national grants. |
