About Us: | ||||||||||
SeniorNet is a National non-profit educational organization with headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Their goal is to help set up Learning Centers across the United States and to assist in providing computer instruction to adults age 50 and over. They also provide detailed lesson plans for most classes. The Medina Learning Center is a part of that national organization. Our Learning Center was reactivated in the fall of 2004. It was formerly located in the Office For Older Adults, in Medina. Our Learning Center is sponsored by the Western Reserve Masonic Community, which provides our classroom facilities. Our Learning Center is operated by an all volunteer staff and provides a friendly pressure free environment for students to learn to use the computer and share experiences and knowledge. We provide hands-on instruction and detailed lesson plans for our classes. Our instructors and coaches are experienced computer users and are willing to share their knowledge with our students. Our classroom is equipped with six computers, scanners, copy machine and a printer (all new in 2004). The computers are networked and connected to the internet via a high speed cable line. We have one instructor and at least one coach in each class session. |
